Dr. David R. Edelstein, an honors graduate of PrincetonUniversity, completed medical
training at BostonUniversity
and his residency at Mount SinaiMedicalCenter-New
York.He is an
internationally recognized expert in rhinology, diseases of the paranasal
sinuses and minimally invasive CT guided endoscope surgery.He is Chairman of the Department of
Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat
Hospital, Chief of Nasal and Sinuses Disease and Sleep Disorders at Manhattan
Eye Ear and Throat Hospital and Chief of Rhinology at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Edelstein is a Clinical Professor of Otorhinolaryngology
at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and has appointments at the
New York University School of Medicine and the Mount Sinai School of
Medicine.He has received many national
and local awards for his commitment to patient care, teaching and research.He has given over 125 talks at local,
national and international meetings on sinus surgery, CT guided endoscopic
sinus surgery, nasal physiology, aging of the nose, ear surgery, laser surgery
of the larynx, complexities of rhinoplasty and geriatric diseases of the ear
nose and throat.He has published
extensively including a books on Revision Surgery in Otolaryngology and is the
coauthor of one on Ear Disease.He has
published numerous articles in major texts and journals and has a CD rom in 8
languages on Sinus Disease and an audiotape on Controversies in Sinus Disease
in Children and Adults.He is a member
of the Board of Governors of the AmericanAcademy of Otolaryngology and sits
on many national and local committees.He
is listed as an outstanding specialist in America’s
Top Doctors and has been named one of the “Best Doctors” by New York
Magazine for over 10 years in a row.
